Journalling is a great creative artform to help get those creative juices flowing! Here are our four best journalling ideas:
1. Fun Fiction
As children, we’re used to be imaginative and creative. We sometimes lose our ability to think beyond our everyday lives as we grow older. Journalling is not only therapeutic, it also gets your creative juices flowing, making you imagine a world that’s purely made of fictional happy stories! You don’t have to be a good writer to write fictional stories, you just have to be a little creative! Try writing different story headings before you begin writing. Go with your favourite themes or imaginative characters.
2. Write about animals
If you have a pet or had a pet growing up, this should be easy. If not, you may have watched a few shows about animals that fascinated you. Journalling about animals makes you learn more about their features and adaptability. It’s a writing method that can be informative or imaginative, only based on your liking.
3. Gratitude Writing
Sometimes the best thing to write about is yourself Gratitude writing is a great way to remember everything good in life. It’s a common method used in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. You can start doing this in the mornings when you wake up or before you go to bed. Start by writing 5 things that make you happy and why, then branch the topic into goals, aspirations, etc.
